Nice Sunday Hike

Connor kept wanting to run off away from us so Justin (just trying to scare him alittle so he wouldn't run off) told him he needed to stay close because there might be rattle snakes out. Connor however got so scared and he decided that the hike was over, until to convinced him that Lily was a rattle snake eating dog and as long as Lily was with us she would eat any rattle snake that came near us. He still was a little sketchy but we were able to go on with the hike and have a great Sunday family day.

This is Connor before heading off for our day long adventure in the city. This little guys walked all day long with us and never stopped to get in the stroller. We asked him many times if his legs were tired and he would just say "No mom their great!"

Austin Turns 12!!!!

This is Austin and all his friends (plus step-dad Sean and Justin)right after his Birthday Airsoft War. The boys really had a great time. Sean says he thinks he will be picking up bebe's forever out of his lawn:) Austin really seems to have a great group of friends and seem to be all around good kids.

This picture is taken the day after his birthday party and he got his very own tool belt and REAL tools. Justin and Connor had been working in the garage most of the afternoon. I got home and they came in to talk to me and get something to drink. Connor turns to his dad and says " Come on dad, we got work to do" Justin leans in to give me a kiss before going back out to the garage "There is no time for kisses dad". He is so stinkin cute:) Love that little man

Just a Fun Sunday Afternoon With the Kids

Abbi's First Little Surgery:(

Abbi had a very minor little surgery to clip a flap of skin/tissue that was attached to her top lip to right between her front teeth. Abbi was such a little trooper! From the moment I got her home she acted as if nothing had just happened. The doctor perscriberd her some pain killers and all they seemed to do was make her hyper:) She was running from one end of the house to the other, singing and dancing, yelling at her big brother. I had to wait for the medicine that was suposed to "make her sleepy" to wear off to get her to take a nap. The doctor recommended keeping her on a soft food diet for about 3 days after the surgery but Abbi had other plans. If Connor was eating waffle...Then Abbi was going to eat waffle. She really never seemed to act like her lip was sore at all, except if she bumped it. This picture is taken right after the surgery and we are in the recovery room. As we were sitting in the recovery room Abbi got really antsy and wanted to leave. She put her coat on and started dragging my purse down the hall. She was on her way to out the door. The nurse turned to me and said "I am suposed to make her stay for another 5 minutes but if she is in that big of a hurry to go, lets get her out of here". Abbi is one tough little girl:)

Exciting News

Well very shortly after Christmas but before the new year Justin and I found out we are expecting a wonderful new addition to the family. My due date is Septmeber 12th but will most likely be born on September 1st. That is the date that we are tenitively scheduled for. Well the year 2011 has been a good one but MAN has it been BUSY. January was just a world wide of a month. I had a few weeks of real bad morning sickness and the on top of that the kids and I all got a horrible cold that we just couldn't seem to get over. On top of the morning sickness, and other sickness I had and then taking care of the sick kids, my work has been crazy busy (not that I'm complaining). January just flew by and we were all so sick for Abbi's birthday so about a week and a half later we did actually find alittle time in there to PARTY!:) So I appoligize now for my lack of updates but I promise to be better about it from this time forward:)

Potty Training Failure!:(

I was recommended this 3 day potty training boot camp. One of my girlfriends tried it and had great success. I read all the reviews and researched it. My thoughts were "wow this will be a hard weekend but it's just one weekend and it will so be worth it." It was actually really a big sacrifice to make it fit into the weekend. Justin even took a day off work on Friday. Three days of no makeup and no shower. Justin nor I got much sleep for the last 2 nights. Grandma and Grandpa even kept Connor for the majority of the weekend so that we could really consentrate on Abbi and really make this work.

Well here we are at the end of the 3 day potty training boot camp and Abbi is now back in her diaper. I guess I really shouldn't complain that my little girl wants to stay a baby alittle longer but I was just really looking forward to NO diapers for a little while at least:) OH well I have been changing diapers for 4 years what's a few more months or so.
